VICTORIA CHINYERE ISIGUZO (MRS.) (NEE AHAMBA) was born into the Royal family of Late Eze and Ugoeze S.M. AHAMBA of Lorji Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State on the 30th of January, 1964.

She is married to Chief Chibututu Isiguzo of Umuruo Ife in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State who was the Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past Deputy Governor of Imo State. The marriage is blessed with two children namely: Chibuisi and Chiguzom.

V.C. Isiguzo attended Egbu Girls’ Secondary School where she obtained her West African School Certificate in 1979 and Federal Government Girls’ College, Owerri where she obtained Higher School Certificate in 1981. She proceeded to University of Calabar where she obtained L.L.B. Hons in 1986. She attended the Nigerian Law School Lagos and obtained B.L. in 1987.

She was called to the Nigerian Bar on 22nd October, 1987 and enrolled at the Supreme Court of Nigeria as a Solicitor/Advocate in 1987. After her Youth Service in the Chamber of J.A. Achimugu of No. 10 Lagos Street, Kaduna, she did her pupilage in the Chambers of her elder brother Chief Mike Ahamba SAN from 1988-1989.

Mrs. V.C. Isiguzo was appointed a Legal Officer in the Ministry of Justice of Imo State in 1989. In October 1993, she was appointed a Magistrate Grade I in the lmo State Judiciary. She is currently a Chief Magistrate GD. 1 and the Administrative Chief Magistrate for Owerri. She sits at Court I, Owerri, Imo State.

Mrs. Isiguzo was the Secretary of Magistrates Association of Nigeria, Imo State Branch from 1999-2004. She was also the Vice President International Federation of Women Lawyers, Imo State Branch from 2000- 2004. She is a member of International Bar Association. She has attended many International Conferences. She attended the International Bar Association Annual Conference in (Chicago U.S.A.) in September, 2006 and also attended the International Bar Association Annual Conference in (Singapore) October, 2007. She attended the C.S.W. 54th Session at the United Nations Headquarters (New York) in 2010.

Mrs. Isiguzo is a prolific writer. She has delivered papers at Conferences on the Rights of Women and Elimination of all forms of Discrimination against Women.

She has also attended National Workshop for Magistrates and Conference of All Nigeria Judges of the Lower Court Organized by the National Judicial Institute. V.C. Isiguzo is a Christian and she likes reading and writing.
