Historic Inauguration of Imo State Small Claims Court Marks a Milestone in Access to Justice
In a momentous event held at the B. A. Njemanze Pavilion within the High Court Complex, Owerri, Imo State, history was made as the Small Claims Court was officially inaugurated today. The ceremony, graced by the presence of The Deputy Governor and Deputy Governor-Elect representing His Excellency, Distinguished Sen. Hope Uzodinma, the Executive Governor of Imo State, marked a significant step towards enhancing accessibility to justice for the residents of the state.
The ceremony was presided over by the Honourable Chief Judge of Imo State, Hon. Justice T. E. Chukwuemeka-Chikeka, who served as the host. The Chief Judge, in his opening remarks, emphasized the importance of the Small Claims Court in providing an efficient and affordable platform for the resolution of minor civil disputes.
