Acting Chief Judge of Imo State Addresses Registrars and Clerks, Announces Capacity-Building Workshop

Today, November 13, 2025, the Acting Chief Judge of Imo State, Hon. Justice I. O. Agugua, held a meeting with all Registrars and Clerks of Court across the state.


During the meeting, the Acting Chief Judge commended the dedication and service of the Registrars and Clerks but expressed concern that the standard of efficiency among court staff has declined compared to five years ago. In response, Her Lordship announced the organization of a special workshop and training programme aimed at enhancing the competence, professionalism, and overall effectiveness of Registrars and Clerks in the discharge of their judicial duties.


Hon. Justice Agugua also reflected on her early years on the Bench, recalling how the Clerks assigned to her played a pivotal role in guiding her through court procedures and administrative responsibilities, which contributed greatly to her effectiveness as a judge.


Her Lordship emphasized the importance of restoring such a high standard of excellence and teamwork within the Judiciary of Imo State.
