Born at Omuma in Oru East Local Government Area of Imo State on 2nd November 1945 to Chief Henry Emeronyeokwe and Madam Mary Ajaerinuba.

Had early education at Holy Trinity School Omuma, St. Josephs School Umuna in Orlu Local Government Area and Preliminary Training College Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area all in Imo State of Nigeria.

Later attended XAVIER TRAINING COLLEGE BENDE ABIA State for Teachers Grade III Certificate.

After a short spell as Teacher and upon obtaining the General Certificate of Education proceeded to the University College Cape Coast Ghana in October, 1965 for Advanced Level Papers. In October, 1966 gained admission to the University of Ghana Legon whereat earned L.L.B(Hons) 1969 and B.L. 1970.

Attended the Nigerian Law School October, 1970 April, 1971 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in June, 1971. Joined the Ministry of Justice in April, 1974 and rose to be Director of Civil Litigation and Deputy Solicitor General Until Appointment as Judge of the High Court on November, 1995.

Before that held the following positions.

1. Officer in Charge Public Prosecution Department Orlu 1976- 1978.

2. Officer in Charge Public Prosecution Office Aba 1978-1980.

3. Director Planning, Research and Statistics.

While in the Ministry of Justice and on the Bench attended Courses, Conferences, Seminars and Workshops some of which are herein listed:

1. Advanced Legal Studies 1985.
2. ALL Nigerian Judges Conference 1994, 2001, 2005, 2007 and 2009.
3. Workshop on Human Rights of Women and Children.

Retired from the Bench 2nd November, 2010.

Married to Lady Priscilla Ukachukwu (Nee Onwuazombe. Has 6 Children.
